Forming this Pilates Board is critical, as the Fitness Board will essentially make the rules for the industry, therefore we have to be fully represented on the Fitness Board. Pilatesinfo.co.za will initiate this process and we should aim to have this board in place by August. If you have any assistance to offer in this regard, please email us. We will circulate more details at a later date.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class=highlight style='line-height:12.0pt'><strong><span style='font-size:8.5pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Please take action to have a say in your future</span></strong><span style='font-size:8.5pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'><o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;margin-left:0in;text-indent:-.25in;line-height:12.0pt;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo4; tab-stops:list .5in'><![if !supportLists]><span style='font-size:10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size:8.5pt;font-family:Symbol;mso-fareast-font-family:Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family:Symbol;color:#333333'><span style='mso-list:Ignore'>·<span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span></span><![endif]><span style='font-size:8.5pt;font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";color:#333333'>Join the facebook group SOUTH AFRICAN PILATES INDUSTRY REGULATION FORUM (or email us if you do not have access to facebook)<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;margin-left:0in;text-indent:-.25in;line-height:12.0pt;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo4; tab-stops:list .5in'><![if !supportLists]><span style='font-size:10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size:8.5pt;font-family:Symbol;mso-fareast-font-family:Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family:Symbol;color:#333333'><span style='mso-list:Ignore'>·<span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span></span><![endif]><span style='font-size:8.5pt;font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";color:#333333'>Send this information to Pilates instructors that may not be registered on Pilatesinfo </span><span style='font-size: 8.5pt;font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif";mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri;mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-latin;color:#333333'>ýÿ</span><span style='font-size:8.5pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#333333'> anyone can register for our newsletters, even if they are not certified yet.<o:p></o:p></span></p> </td> <td width=10 style='width:7.5pt;background:white;padding:0in 0in 0in 0in'> <p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:12.0pt'><span style='font-size: 8.5pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#333333'>&nbsp;<o:p></o:p></span></p> </td> <td width=180 valign=top style='width:135.0pt;background:white; padding:7.5pt 7.5pt 7.5pt 7.5pt'> <p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:12.0pt'><span style='font-size: 8.5pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#333333'><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <table class=MsoNormalTable border=0 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0 width=180 style='width:135.0pt;mso-cellspacing:0in;mso-yfti-tbllook: 1184;mso-padding-alt:0in 0in 0in 0in'> <tr style='mso-yfti-irow:0;mso-yfti-firstrow:yes'> <td style='background:#EC1B33;padding:3.75pt 3.75pt 3.75pt 3.75pt'> <p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:12.0pt'><b><span style='font-size:8.5pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:white'>BASI COURSES <br> SOUTH AFRICA 2010<o:p></o:p></span></b></p> </td> </tr> <tr style='mso-yfti-irow:1;mso-yfti-lastrow:yes'> <td valign=top style='background:#EEEEEE;padding:7.5pt 7.5pt 7.5pt 7.5pt'> <p style='line-height:12.0pt'><strong><span style='font-size:8.5pt; font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#333333'>JOHANNESBURG </span></strong><span style='font-size:8.5pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#333333'><br> Mat Course <br> Starts <strong><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>12 August 2010</span></strong> <o:p></o:p></span></p> <p style='line-height:12.0pt'><strong><span style='font-size:8.5pt; font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#333333'>CAPE TOWN</span></strong><span style='font-size:8.5pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#333333'><br> Mat Course, 2010 <br> Starts <strong><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>11 November 2010</span></strong><o:p></o:p></span></p> <p style='line-height:12.0pt'><span style='font-size:8.5pt;font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";color:#333333'>Immediate Job Placement is guaranteed when successfully completed the BASI Pilates"! The muscle focus is primarily the hamstrings, which, in itself, is atypical. Traditional Foot Work often focuses on the knee extensors (quadriceps) only. This particular Block provides the ideal opportunity to train the client to focus on the quality of, and control over, the movement. Research has shown that correct and effective motor control training provides a positive environment for the higher load exercises that will follow. The road to increased load exercises begins with the humble Foot Work Block. Foot Work is highly dependent on the apparatus used. Each piece of equipment makes a unique contribution to the Block. Pelvic-lumbar control is also highlighted on the Reformer, particularly with the heavier settings. Note that the positioning of the pelvis is of utmost importance and will determine the effectiveness of the exercise. Teach the client that in order to create a stretch, two points need to move in opposite directions. In this case, the pelvis moves towards the floor and the feet towards the ceiling. In the BASI Block System, more time is spent on the Foot Work (at least 15 to 20 minutes of an hour class ),than on any other block.
