I'm a freelance sales agent and I represent three companies based in Durban. The nature of my work requires a lot of driving and a fair amount of pressure. I suffered from stress related pain in my shoulders and neck due to all the driving. I never realized how bad my posture was, and how the stress affected the flexibility of my neck, shoulders and back. With the specialized Pilates exercises I started to gain control of my body and mind. It was so easy in the past to ignore the body's warning signals with painkillers. All that has changed now, I no longer take painkillers and would rather the time to do a few basic Pilates exercises to reduce the stress in my shoulders and neck. I have become passionate about what I do and what I can still learn about my body to improve my longevity. I strongly believe in this form of exercise and would it to all women of all ages, and especially to the woman over forty.
